Falling stars streak across the vast expanse of the night sky under the eternal gaze of celestial bodies and infinite worlds. From the east and west, billowing clouds arrive under the astral influence of outer gods as they form the seams of this midnight tapestry. Aligned by fate, the lunar triumvirate shines overhead as glimmers of starlight and stardust softly drift downward upon the inhabitants of the Moonlight Sanctuary.

Stirred by these luminary energies, mysterious creatures in the depths of Sapphire Lake begin to awaken from their thousand years of slumber. Bubbling ripples cascade across the surface of the tranquil waters causing slight distortions in the mirrored reflection of the heavens above.

In the dense growth and foliage of the nearby Viridian Forest, golden wisps come to life in anticipation of the ritual of the moon. Dancing around the roots of ancestral trees, a soft and beautiful humming tone spreads through the woods. As the land itself slowly awakens from every corner of the realm, one by one the lights of distant cities and castles begins to glow in the moonlight.

Set into motion by the stars and those that are guided by them, this once in a thousand year event heralds the end of one age and the beginning of the next one.
